BioFinance And BioInnovate Europe 2010, 25 March 2010

Royal Institution of Great Britain
21 Albemarle Street
LONDON
W1S 4BS

As the first quarter of 2010 draws to a close, the BIAs annual BioFinance and BioInnovate Europe conference will be assessing the ways in which the biotechnology sector is flourishing in the new environment. With its focus on two of the main goals for companies – access to finance and access to innovation – the day will highlight the new mechanisms and ways of working that successful companies are embracing now. Contentious issues, such as how to foster innovation, the future of the IPO, and what can be learned from those companies which are making progress and raising money, will be debated. There will also be sessions on corporate venture funds, what to expect from Government-industry interaction in 2010, open innovation, and a workshop on the UK patent box.

The global biotech sector has survived the economic crisis, and this is the place in which to highlight its lessons, as well as ideas for the future. With speakers from big pharma, leading biotechnology companies, finance providers and the capital markets, this promises to be a productive and thought-provoking day.
