This is a new one day course Nowgen is delivering in partnership with Dr William Newman from
Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust & British Oncology Pharmacy
Association (BOPA). During the course there will be presentations from Dr William Newman, an
expert in the area of oncology pharmacogenetics; leading experts from AstraZeneca will give an
industrial perspective with relation to the impact of pharmacogenetics on drug development, therapy
optimisation and ethical issues for patients; Dr Katherine Payne, University of Manchester will discuss Health Economics in relation to pharmacogenetics and there will also be case study presentations from several leading clinicians working in this fi eld at the Christie Hospital.
