UMIC-based Frontier Public Relations has been shortlisted in the best Integrated Communications and best Corporate & Business Communications categories of the 2012 North West CIPR PRide Awards, for its work with fellow innovation-based enterprise Mobysoft.
Frontier PR, a specialist PR and marketing agency, has worked with Mobysoft for over four years providing media relations, social media support, event management and general marketing services.
The awards are set to be hotly contested, with 12 companies shortlisted over two categories. Over 1,000 entries were received from freelancers, consultancies and in-house teams across twelve UK regions and nations.
The short-listings are recognition of Frontier PR’s ‘Progress – Leadership in Housing’ campaign, a series of regional forums aimed at senior decision makers within social housing. Progress provides a platform for discussion and debate on topical issues, and has hosted events in London, Manchester, Yorkshire and Staffordshire to date.
David Innes-Edwards, Managing Director of Frontier PR said: “We’re delighted and honored to be shortlisted for two award categories this year. Progress has delivered on so many levels for the various stakeholders involved, including the sponsors Mobysoft and each host housing provider.
“The events and accompanying media and social media activity continue to build Progress’ reputation within the social housing industry as a true leadership forum – a space for housing leaders to learn from leaders.”
David continues: “In my mind Progress exemplifies Frontier PR at its best, and my reasons for founding the company: intelligent, integrated communications delivering value for all involved and measurable return on investment for our client.”
Mobysoft’s Managing Director Derek Steele said: “Progress has been at the cornerstone of Mobysoft’s marketing for over a year now, and I’m absolutely delighted that Frontier PR has gained well-deserved recognition for what’s been a success for everyone involved.”
CIPR CEO, Jane Wilson MCIPR, commented: “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and communications campaigns and teams from the profession across the UK. To be shortlisted for a CIPR PRide Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value – immediately putting your work in the spotlight.
“The sheer number of high quality entries received this year, especially when things are still pretty tough out there economically, is testament to a thriving nationwide industry. Congratulations for reaching this stage and the best of luck for the awards presentation evenings.”
The judging process for the PRide Awards is rigorous, with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners. The 2012 Chairs of Judges, Gill Dandy FCIPR, Senior Consultant at The Centre for Strategy and Communication, and Chris Genasi FCIPR, Senior Consultant at APCO Worldwide, assisted in ensuring a fair and consistent judging process.
The winners of the 2012 North West CIPR PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie dinner in November at Gorton Abbey Manchester. To see award shortlists please click here.
