August 19th, 2005

Both parties are pleased to announce that signature of a collaboration agreement relating to marketing and development of new software management tools for monitoring exposure to chemicals and dangerous materials by employees within laboratories and factory facilities.

After earlier contacts from a Lativan Goverment Institution, the top management from AKTIVA LTD (Jan Brante, Managing Director) and from The University of Manchester Incubator Company Limited (Martino Picardo, General Manager) have signed an agreement that provides good opportunity for future use of such management tools in order to manage exposure of chemicals to workers being in contact with a range of chemicals, various liquids and similar materials.

“We are looking forwards to working with Aktiva to develop the software (which we will be utilising in the Manchester Incubator Building and soon to be opened Core Technology facility); we see this as an important management tool which we will be offering to other facilities like our own and to marketing the product offering within the UK, in partnership with Aktiva Ltd” said Martino Picardo. “Health and Safety is an important part of our offering here at the Biotechnology incubator”.

Martino Picardo, General manager, UMIC and Jan Brante, Managing Director, AKTIVA LTD.
