Workshop and partnering session for Swiss Tech Transfer offices and UK companies

————-

Wednesday 8 March 2006,   8:30am – 12.30pm

Conference Centre Varembé (CCV), 9 -11 Rue de Varembé, CH 1211 Geneva, Switzerland

(opposite the CICG Conference Centre, where BioSquare is held)

_______________________________________________________________________

This bilateral workshop is primarily aimed at UK companies looking to add further value to their visit to Bio Square 2006 in Geneva, although other participants are of course welcome. The event, which is organised by the Swiss Embassy London, is independent of the main Bio Square event and participation is free of charge. It precedes the company presentations and partnering sessions of the main Bio Square programme, although there is some time overlap with opening day workshops and plenary discussions. Due to flexible scheduling of partnering meetings within this workshop, it should be possible to avoid any clashes with particular discussion topics in the main conference programme (which takes place right across the street).

During short workshop presentations, Swiss Tech Transfer executives from the main universities and research centres will outline their focus areas and spin-out / licensing plans to give UK participants an overview of which types of new technology are coming out of Swiss research and who the respective contact people are.

Afterwards, Swiss speakers will be available for individual meetings (in 15 minute slots) if UK participants would like to have more detailed information or want to discuss their company’s interests and requirements. The Swiss representatives will also be able to pre-arrange meetings with UK companies / organisations of their interest.

To register (free of charge), contact:  L-P Berg (Swiss Embassy London) by 10 February

[email protected]         tel: (0)20 7616 6089

Once you have registered, you will be able to pre-arrange meetings with the Swiss participants.
