Thread Creative Studios, based at the North Campus Incubator, are celebrating their success in winning two nominated categories at The Big Chip Awards 2006. As a young agency of 3 years, Thread enjoyed making a big impression on the North West’s judging panel.

Nominated for ‘Best not-for-profit’ website and ‘Best commercial website’, Thread walked away with both awards in the face of the North West’s finest digital agencies.

The first award recognised Thread’s commitment to working profit- free to help the community. Earlier this year Thread worked alongside All FM, a local Manchester radio station, to create a fun, interactive website to engage listeners with the studio. The website incorporates live chat, unique Flash elements and a content management system for the studio team to update the website with new schedules and news. The website can be seen at www.allfm.org

For the commercial category, Thread was awarded for its partnership with Flowcrete Group Plc. The major flooring contractors now have a website that represents the growth and international expansion of the company. Featuring Rich Internet Applications, Flash maps and a ‘Designer Room’, users can design their own sample styles using colours and textures from the Flowcrete range. Find it at www.flowcrete.com
