The University of Manchester Incubator Company Limited (UMIC) is a new company created by the new University of Manchester, itself formed on 1st October 2004 from the merger of the Victoria University of Manchester and UMIST. UMIC is building on the successful track records of Manchester Innovation and UMIST Ventures and will manage the Universitys Incubator facilities and provide business mentoring services to new start ups, locally and regionally. This activity is provided specifically in biotechnology, ICT and hi-tech market sectors.

Supported by European funding, UMIC is pleased to announce its Innovation Competition for 2005.
