Jacqui Waby – Event Sales & Conferencing Manager

Jacqui brings over a decade’s experience in the events industry in a variety of roles including event management, venue sales, client liaison and project management.  She began her career in the Event Management Services team at Liverpool John Moores University before moving to a role with the leading healthcare charity, the King’s Fund, in London.  

Prior to joining UMIC in June 2009, Jacqui was Business Development Manager for Convex Leisure, an independent catering and hospitality company operating in London and the South-East.  During her time with the Company she managed the sales, events and business development activities for Convex Leisure at a variety of prestigious venues including the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Bournemouth International Centre, managing relationships with major clients including the Labour Party, the Royal College of Nursing, Nationwide and Barclays Bank. 

Jacqui is delighted to be part of the UMIC team and looks forward to developing the conference and events service at UMIC and offering all our clients and delegates a fantastic customer experience.
