Equal Pay Workshop, 8 July 2010

Eversheds
Eversheds House
70 Great Bridgewater Street
MANCHESTER
M1 5ES

This practical round-table session will consider what a system of equal pay metrics and reporting would mean for employers, what alternative approaches might look like, and their ‘pros and cons’.  We will also cover the Equality Bill’s provisions on equal pay and provide an update on significant case law developments.

There is an increasing expectation of employers in all sectors to commit to pay reporting.  One of the most interesting and potentially challenging developments in equal pay this year is the EHRC’s proposal for employers to improve their pay transparency by developing pay metrics and reporting on their gender pay gaps.  The intention is not simply to improve pay transparency but to provide a basis for industry and sector comparisons.  In exchange for voluntary pay reporting, employers may receive limited immunity from investigation.

These workshops are intended for employee relations, diversity and HR professionals, as well as compensation specialists.  Briefing documents are provided to delegates
