Three of Manchester’s innovative women will talk about women innovators, referencing their own relationship with innovation and the journey to success within their chosen sectors.  It is hoped you will be inspired and take away some wisdom that will increase innovation in your role and company.

According to the Professor of Credit Management at LUBS, women can make the difference between success and bankruptcy. Having at least one female director on the board appears to cut a company’s chances of going bust by about 20%. Therefore usefulness of women employees in a recession is not just the outputs of studies, it is the reality of the wider workplace.

In the UK 7.6% of women are self employed and make up 14% of all UK businesses. This growth of women-owned businesses means women will play a major part in spurring the economic recovery. As entrepreneurial spirit lies at the heart of a prosperous economy,  policy-makers must look to embrace these women along with women innovators in large businesses, as centre-stage for future economic stimulus. In an uncertain, highly fragile economic climate and this event will highlight how women are thriving across the world of business.
