Meet the Buyers is in essence a tradeshow in reverse – building on the success of a similar event in 2005.
UKTI will bring overseas buyers to Daresbury to meet and do business with participating Northwest supplier companies. These Buyers, from overseas markets which have a significant spend on healthcare, are carefully selected to ensure their requirements match the strengths of the Northwest Supply Chain (see attachment). The primary aim is to promote export and international trade by Northwest companies. The event is a great way for Northwest SMEs to increase export sales, or indeed to export for the first time – UKTI can offer all the support you need to start selling overseas.
Larger companies should consider attending as both a Supplier (to foreign Buyers) and as a Buyer themselves (i.e. connecting with Northwest suppliers to enhance your product portfolio). In turn this offers the opportunity for Northwest SMEs to access major UK Buyers as well as the potential export opportunities.
