Centre for Facilities Management warmly welcomes Malaysian Students

In December 2010, visiting degree students from Malaysia worked on a pilot study into community-based FM with Professor Keith Alexander at the Centre for Facilities Management. The students joined forces with Professor Alexander, UMIC, OCP, MSP and business tenants to evaluate facilities, user experience, community relationships, social development and ecological performance.

The students also made a study visit to the new Divisional Headquarters of the Greater Manchester Police based in Bury. The students experienced first hand how excellence in design, fit-out and facilities management has created a superb building for visitors and users alike. Despite the snowy weather, which was a new experience as they had never seen snow personally, the group had a great visit to Manchester enjoying shopping, museums and a trip to Old Trafford. Our thanks go to those individuals who helped make the study visit a great learning experience for our visitors.
