UMIC to co-host Regenerative Medicine Event

UMIC, in partnership with regeNer8 and the UK HealthTech and Medicines Knowledge Transfer Network, is to host a Bioprocessing for Advanced Therapies Group meeting on 14 October at the Core Technology Facility.

Regenerative medicine is a key priority area for the HealthTech and Medicines KTN, as it is at the cutting edge of 21st Century biological medicines that have the potential to revolutionise the treatment of patients.  The Bioprocessing for Advanced Therapies Group aims to educate and develop the community in new emerging biological therapies such as stem cells, gene therapy and tissue engineering.

This workshop event will provide a forum to explore ‘supply chain’ issues and opportunities, to understand the gaps and synergies in the chain and to help define the supply chain road-map that will aid the engagement of the regenerative medicine and wider biological medicine communities.
