New Business Support Scheme for Tenants

Could you use 3k to help develop your business?

If you are a small business, a social enterprise, a charity or a not-for-profit organisation you can access this unique business support funding provided by the Government to help move your business forward.

The NWDA has launched an ‘innovation voucher’ scheme to help small organisations tap into expertise and services in Universities and further education colleages across the region. The University of Manchester Incubator Company (UMIC) is one of the designated points of contact for the scheme, and can help you to both apply for a voucher and to access academic expertise at The University of Manchester.

UMIC’s Managing Director Martino Picardo says: “We’d encourage all eligible small and medium sized organisations to participate in this exciting programme, which helps them to engage with Universities across the region”.

£1.4 million is available in vouchers, and the NWDA is keen to support innovation and competitiveness in the region with more than 1100 businesses expected to sign-up to the voucher scheme.

First-round applications must be made before 21st November. Second round applications open on 12th January 2009.  Please contact Sarah Acton at UMIC now to find out more on 0161 606 7226 or [email protected].
