regeNer8 has continued to work with the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) since an industry-based consultation conducted in summer 2009. TSB has already provided significant funding for therapeutic feasibility studies and for value systems and business modelling projects.
The TSB has now identified the need to provide further financial support in additional areas – one of which is the ‘Tools and Technologies’ needed to address the broad issues facing the regenerative medicine industry.

regeNer8 would like to focus particularly on: Safety & Efficacy and Manufacturing. The Technology Strategy Board will be asking for applications for new grants in this area in spring 2010.
Based on our highly successful October 2009 meeting, regeNer8 want to form strong consortia that will be well positioned to apply for this new TSB funding. We would be grateful if you would set aside time in your diary for this highly significant event.
To facilitate this award process in 2010, regeNer8 has committed to assist the TSB and has collated the issues identified by our industry members (and beyond) for presentation, discussion and solution planning at a meeting at UMIC, Manchester on 23 February 2010.
