UMIC (The University of Manchester Incubator Company) has a unique range of modern and versatile facilities within its Core Technology Facility (CTF). Located at the heart of Manchester’s biomedical activities and close to the vibrant Manchester city centre, the CTF offers an Impressive and spacious setting for your event.
A focal point for the facilities is the striking Street area, an ideal setting for delegate registration, informal breakout & networking events, drinks receptions and exhibitions. An elegant Board Room and a variety of meeting rooms accommodate large lectures to small workshops, and the ‘Egg’ – an impressive state of the art room with a back projection media wall which easily seats 100 people.
Hickmans Restaurant, located on the site (ground floor) of the Manchester Bioscience Incubator, offers an alternative breakout option for available meals and refreshments.
All meeting rooms have a full range of audiovisual equipment, individually controlled air-conditioning and are soundproof. White boards, flip charts and stationery are provided.
Audiovisual equipment
All rooms have integrated media screens, overhead projectors, telephone, data and wireless internet connection. The Egg also has a media wall, DVD, video and satellite TV. All standard AV equipment is included in the room hire price and IT support available as optional extra.
Catering and accommodation
We can arrange catering on your behalf, working with you to discuss your requirements, or we have a number of selected catering suppliers form you can choose and arrange independently.
